Verizon Wireless Offers Great Wireless Phone Services

Verizon Wireless is the place to go for the best in Verizon smartphones running on the nation's largest high-speed wireless network. Big red is definitely a wireless carrier that should be at the top of your list of providers if you're in the market for a new smartphone or cell phone provider.

There are about 110 million subscribers on Verizon and with free mobile to mobile calling to any other Verizon mobile phone you cannot go wrong. Besides even the current president, Barack Obama is a user of the network although he has a CIA/Secret Service provided Blackberry.

Don't expect for one of those to hit the market anytime soon.

Big Red in a Nutshell

With Verizon Wireless you are getting superior network coverage. Believe in it because is dependable.

Everyone wants reliable service and connections and this definitely can be found with Verizon.

Customer service.

Big Red always ranks extremely highly in customer satisfaction... as seen in surveys conducted by Consumer Reports.

4G LTE is the fastest and most advanced 4G network in America and you will benefit in many ways. You know this means your Verizon smartphone will be one of the fastest when it comes to:

  • dowloading movies in minutes
  • photos in seconds
  • apps and games instantly
  • get the news immediately.

Everything you need is right at your finger tips.

Wireless Plan Advantages: going big does have great advantages. You can call, text or message any other Verizon Wireless customer any time and use zero minutes. Sometimes not everyone you talk to uses Verizon so there's the option for unlimited calling to the numbers you dial most often.

My Verizon Advantage: a way to manage your account online or from your device, 24/7. You'll be able to:

  • check your usage
  • view and pay your bill
  • change your plan or features
  • upgrade your device
  • get backup assistance
  • access 24/7 support
  • run account analysis
  • trade in your device.

A Super Fast Network

Verizon wireless uses CDMA technology to operate its network. Not to get too much in the nitty gritty of things but Verizon does support all four generations of CDMA (IS-95, 1x, EV-DO, and e-HRPD) and of course its newest 4G LTE service which was deployed in December 2010 in many cities. As of the first quarter of 2011 you can now used Verizon smartphones that are compatible with the 4G LTE network.

If you're confused by all this network terminology just realize it makes your devices run a lot faster and smoother. That's all you really need to know.

Preloaded Goodies from Big Red

This is where there's a love-hate relationship with Verizon. Verizon Wireless offers Get It Now a platform that allows you to download and use applications such as:

  • ringtones
  • music
  • games
  • applications
  • games
  • and instant messaging.

You'd think this would be great but there's a huge catch. You won't be allowed to download content to your Verizon smartphone outside of the Get It Now system.

Why?

Purely for financial reasons. Verizon has exclusivity agreements with their content providers...welcome to the Big Red walled garden.

Don't even get us started on the debacle a few years ago where customers where incurring internet charges that were added to their phone bill at the end of the month. Ultimately, Verizon Wireless payed a record-setting $25 million to the U.S. Treasury for these mystery data charges. Remember $1.99 added over 106 million subscribers can add up very fast for Big Red in profits.

VZ Navigator

This is comparable to a standalone GPS navigation system. You can use it to locate businesses nearby, search by category name or business name. Type in (perhaps also speak) an address and receive turn by turn directions to your destination.

V CAST

This is apart of the Get It Now/Media Center where as a Verizon customer you'll get high speed audio, video on demand and entertainment delivered to your device.

Backup Assistant

No longer will you ever have to say, "I lost my phone...please send me your numbers." Backup Assistant is a product that backs up the mobile address book found within your smartphone.
